HOTEL IN OLIVE MILL OF RIBEIRA DO FIGUEIRÓ. NISA 2024 - ON GOING

The project consists of the rehabilitation of an old olive mill and its conversion into a rural hotel, using an approach that values ​​the pre-existing structure. The intervention seeks to preserve the identity of the original building, confirming its architectural, constructive, and cultural value, without resorting to excessive formal gestures of affirmation.

A new construction emerges as a complement to the pre-existing structure, establishing a relationship of continuity and balance. Its implantation and architectural language assume a discreet posture, dialoguing with the original building through scale, materials, and references to the old olive press, without competing with it.
