ATELIER IN RUA DE OLIVENÇA. 2025
The project consists of adapting an old wine cellar to our studio, enhancing the building's strong pre-existing spatiality. The intervention stems from recognizing the architectural richness of the space, especially the relationship between the ceiling, the internal scale, and the entry of natural light, key elements for the overall atmosphere.
The old wine cellar is now reinterpreted as the main creative workspace, maintaining the understanding of its materiality and memory. The cellar is transformed into a place of intellectual and experimental production, where the creative process takes place in direct dialogue with the building's history.
The intervention is restrained and respectful, favoring adaptation rather than transformation, allowing the original space to reveal itself through existing light, proportions, and textures.
